Though Hana and Melise met online in 2020, they first crossed paths over a year prior. They locked eyes at a Tash Sultana concert in September of 2019, and though they didn’t connect that day, Hana remembers telling her friend Shelby “how hot that girl with the red plaid pants” was. When Hana and Melise finally met a year later, they didn’t recognize each other immediately as that “missed connection” from 2019. It wasn’t until they started discussing music on their first date that the lightbulb moment happened. As soon as they realized they were at the same concert a year prior, Melise looks at Hana and says, “Wait.. did you have blonde hair last year? And were you wearing a witchy cape to the concert?” (she was wearing a kimono, not a cape, for the record). Hana changes her hair frequently, so she wasn’t sure of her hair color then, but she remembered that witchy kimono. Hana took a good look at Melise, and at that moment, she realized the universe brought her back to the red plaid pants girl. The two of them have been inseparable since and are excited for a lifetime of kismet moments.
